What should I do if I have changed my name or my local address?

You can change your voter registration information by:

  • sending a letter notifying the Office of the General Registrar
  • completing a voter registration application and mailing it to the Office of the General Registrar
  • completing a voter registration application at the Department of Motor Vehicles
  • or you may visit the Office of the General Registrar, 801 Crawford Street on the first floor. 

Online registration is also available through the Virginia Department of Elections website.
